The IRS requires that employers distribute 1099 forms by January 31, 2009 to all independent contractors paid at least $600 in 2008. Businesses then have until March 31, 2009 to file electronically with the IRS.
PayCycle, Inc., an online payroll service, has announced the availability of its 1099 MISC E-File service for small business owners. Annual 1099 payroll tax forms are typically required to cover payments made to independent contractors. With the PayCycle service, customers complete the task in three easy steps; by simply entering data through a web form, printing 1099 forms for their contractors on regular paper, and finally filing the form with the IRS electronically with a single click.
"This is an easy, convenient and affordable way to handle a costly and time consuming task," says Jim Heeger, CEO of PayCycle, Inc. "PayCycle leadership stems from the practice of making sure managing payroll related tasks is easy and fast so it doesn't impose on handling one's business."
PayCycle offers this standalone service for small business owners looking for ways to cut costs and reduce the time required to process year end filings. For $39, small business owners can print and file 1099 forms for up to fifty contractors and can electronically file through April 30th, 2009.
